- david lawlor Added 2018-03-08★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆Another year another 15% property tax hike, 35% hike in dumping fees.For added $ bonus garbage is now picked up only once ever 2 weeks, as money is more important than sanitation.The city is not shy to ask an extra $40 or $50 bucks on some items, fortunately? their are growing numbers of homeless people with shopping carts (go figure), it should take less than 5 minutes to find one in Calgary.Most homeless people are more than happy to take such items and, no doubt, put them to good use.
